\nThrough the stained-glass windows,
\nA ray of light \nilluminates the high altar where
\nLucifer stands, waiting for me in his black tunic
\nAnd with his lantern, ready to guide me
\nThrough the darkness of the mind,
\nTo the lab of thoughts where I spend
\nMost of my time,\ntrying to find remedies
\nTo the pains and injuries that keep me
\nAwake at night, and where are locked up
\nAll those big books and small flasks of
\nForgotten feelings, \n \t\t \t which I work with,
\nCreating spells and potions like an alchemist,
\nAt the pace of steam engines which
\nWorking, banging day and night in this
\nNoisy silence \ngive the tempo to my life
\nAnd while the beat goes on at night
\nI create walkways to the stars using
\nThe ink contained in the flasks, drawing
\nOn the pages some letters that become
\nWords,\nopening doors to parallel worlds,
\nTransporting me for each combination
\nTo another universe, not less real though,
\nFar away from the lab where the noise,
\nWhich you can\u2019t hear,\nis so loud
\nBecause of those machines, because of
\nThe monsters that still live in there until
\nI find the way to make them fall
\nIn the great maze of oblivion,
\nAnd because of my injured soul that
\nKeep on saying\n\t\t \tyou\u2019ll never find it<\/em>
\nThe remedy to this self-destructive voice
\nCrying like the creaking of a gearwheel,
\nWhich prevents me from doing what I want,
\nEven sometimes from talking to you
\nBut I\u2019m sure that\none day the sun will rise,
\nAnd the pain filtered through the pen
\nWill become pleasant and beautiful,
\nAnd the sound of the machinery
\nWill merely be a distant memory,
\nAnd the lab,\nfinally quiet
\nWill be a place of peace where I
\nWill continue to experiment
\nTo find more and more remedies
\nTo cure the scars\non your soul,
\nBecoming the alchemist that will
\nMake the sun rise at midnight and
\nMake you cross the darkness
\nTo see the light and beauties
\nThat pain endeavors to hide.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n
