I didn\u2019t mean to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was running around and my energy grew \u2013<br>I whistled at every parrot that flew<br>through the bobbing branches the tired breeze blew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But then you\u2026 you\u2026<br>you called me, Baboo,<br>and I didn\u2019t answer. I didn\u2019t want to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I looked up at the sky, a perfect blue;<br>ferns smiled and waved \u2013<br>I chased dart frogs through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our heart of hearts we both knew I knew<br>that you would be trying to<br><em>catch me, Baboo<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My heart pounded and my head felt askew.<br>I\u2019m sorry. What I shouted\u2026 it wasn\u2019t true.<br>It\u2019s not hatred I feel, I\u2019m just so sick of you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wish you could see things from my point of view:<br>the world\u2019s so alive, so vibrant, so new.<br>I want to laugh, to dance, not be told what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stop it.<br>Stop it.<br><em>Stop it, Baboo!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m lost and alone and I want to go home&nbsp;<br>and I haven\u2019t a clue<br>which path to pursue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Baboo?
