Poetry

Mirror

I remember those days,
When you sat at the window,
Your eyes lost in the endlessness.
I remember those days,
When you drove your car in the night,
No matter in which direction,
Then stopped the vehicle facing the lake,
Stargazing in a beautiful silence.
You could have been me, maybe you were,
You could be me and maybe you are.
Life is a never-ending cycle
That has no time to wait for us.

I remember you,
Wondering in front of me.
I also remember the time
When you really felt happy.
Happiness is a direction,
Impossible to reach and ephemeral.
Time flies and the machine goes on,
The process of living is dying
and you are burning under the crowd.
I remember now the cries and the tears,
I remember now the words and the fears,
From you and others standing right here.
I heard, you sometimes wanted to quit,
They all did once, but they’re still here.
Life moves, faster than the ocean wave
But lasts, longer than the blazing flame.
It will not wait for you,
You must go now,
Stop thinking
And live.
